Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Women's hockey falls to BU, 4-1

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's hockey team fell to No. 8 Boston University, 4-1, Saturday evening at the Hart Center. Before the game, the team honored Grace Rett and the Holy Cross women's rowing team with a ceremonial puck drop by Chris Rett, Grace's father.

The game played out in a similar fashion to Friday's contest, with the teams playing a tightly contested first period with BU taking the 1-0 lead into the break. The Terriers would again score three goals in the second period and the Crusaders would add one of their own for the identical 4-1 finish.

Kailey Langefels recorded Holy Cross' goal on the power play when she sent in a wrister from just above the circle. Antonia Matzka and Mary Edmonds picked up the assists. It was Langefels' second goal of the season, both of which came on the power play. In goal, Jada Brenon made 35 saves.
