Final Results
SIMSBURY, Conn. – Junior Connor Phillips finished in a tie for fifth place as an individual, to lead the Holy Cross men's golf team to a fourth-place finish out of 17 schools in the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate at the Hop Meadow Country Club. Phillips totaled 144 strokes over two rounds to finish at even par, including a career-low 71 in the final round.
Freshman Christian Emmerich, sophomore Collin Fitzpatrick and freshman Peter Radler all tied for 17th place with scores of 147. Sophomore John Bowen tied for 57th with a 155, and junior Harrison Thayer placed 77th with a 160.
Harvard won the team title with a two-round total of 569 strokes, while Holy Cross totaled 593 strokes. Adam Xiao of Harvard captured the individual crown after finishing at five-under par (139).
The Crusaders return to action when they take part in the Doc Gimmler at the Bethpage State Park Red Course in Farmington, N.Y., from Sept. 14-15.
