Final Results

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Sophomore Collin Fitzpatrick finished in a tie for 18th place as an individual, to lead the Holy Cross men's golf team to a ninth-place finish out of 14 schools in the Doc Gimmler at the Bethpage State Park Red Course. Fitzpatrick totaled 214 strokes over three rounds to finish at four-over par.

Senior Joe Brosseau tied for 21st place with a 215, while sophomore John Bowen tied for 28th with a 217. In addition, freshman Christian Emmerich and junior Connor Phillips tied for 49th with scores of 222.

Navy won the team title with a three-round total of 834, while Holy Cross posted an 866. Navy's Thomas Garbee, Navy's Charlie Musto, Lafayette's Kazuki Osawa and Rhode Island's Bryson Richards shared medalist honors after all finishing at four-under par (206).

The Crusaders return to action when they take part in the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club in Hanover, N.H., from Sept. 21-22.

BEYOND THE RESULTS:

  • Fitzpatrick shot a career-low 68 in the third round, while Brosseau carded a career-low 68 in round one.
  • Those scores tied for the third lowest round in school history (records available from the 1996-97 school year to present).
