WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team was defeated at Boston University, 15-11. Holy Cross was led by Kevin Kodzis and Justin Lynskey, who each recorded hat tricks in the game.
Holy Cross scored quickly at 13:46 to open the game from Kevin Kodzis. The Terriers rattled off three goals at 11:35, 9:33, and 5:35 to take a 3-1 lead. Kodzis recorded another goal, followed by Drew Babiak. Holy Cross battled back to even things up, 3-3.
With 1:38 to play in the first quarter, the Terriers put two more past Jonathan Tesoro to take a 5-3 lead.
In the second quarter, Holy Cross scored just once as Justin Lynskey snuck one past BU's Joe McSorely at 6:18. The Crusader defense held the Terriers to just two goals in the frame but the deficit remained at the half, 7-4.
The Terriers opened the second half with two goals. At 8:56, Tesoro assisted as Sean New scored a man-down goal and put Holy Cross within four (9-5). Lynskey finished his hat trick in the remaining minutes of the third quarter but Holy Cross trailed, 12-7.
The fourth quarter saw a 4-3 advantage to the Crusaders as Kodzis completed his hat trick at 13:27. Sean Mullaney had a hand in three-consecutive as he scored a man-up goal (7:58), assisted on a Will Spangenberg goal (7:20), and scored at 6:32. The Crusaders shortened the gap to 13-11, but with less than a minute to play the Terriers scored twice more, 15-11.

- Holy Cross outshot BU, 47-39.
- The Crusaders picked up 27 ground balls to BU's 24.
- Dan O'Connell went 18-for-29 at the faceoff.
