WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross senior defenseman Michael Rincon and freshman faceoff specialist Shane McDonnell were named to the All-Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Second Team, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.

Rincon started all 14 games this season, tallying season-highs in every category with 52 ground ball pickups, 27 caused turnovers, and two assists. His 27 CT's this season rank third in the patriot league, and are tied for fourth-most in a single season in Holy Cross history. Rincon was twice named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week this season, and was named to the NEILA Team of the Week once. This is his first Patriot League postseason award.

McDonnell appeared in all 14 games in his rookie season, recording 140 faceoff wins, 74 ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three goals. His 74 ground balls - which ranked fourth in the Patriot League this season - tied for fourth most in a single-season all-time in Holy Cross history. His .579 win percentage (140-for-242) at the faceoff 'X' ranked third in the Patriot League and top-20 in the nation. A three-time Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week, two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week, and a one-time NEILA Team of the Week honoree, this is McDonnell's first postseason honor of his career.
