DURHAM, N.H. – The Holy Cross women's hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision to New Hampshire Sunday afternoon at the Whittemore Center.
The game remained scoreless through the first period of play, as
Jada Brenon made 15 saves in the frame. The Wildcats would break through in the second off the stick of Nicole Dunbar. In the third period, UNH would add two more to round things out.
Skye Ziehwein, Rachel Moore, Maggie Hallisey, and
Carlie Magier led the Crusaders with two shots on goal each. Brenon made a season-high 41 saves.
SCORING SUMMARY:
1-0 UNH (2
nd, 1:46, EV): Brenon saved a Taylor Wenczkowski shot, but the rebound bounced out to Dunbar would had a wide open net to fire at.
2-0 UNH (3
rd, 10:32, EV): Meghara McManus doubled the Wildcat's lead halfway through the third.
3-0 UNH (3
rd, 16:59, PP): UNH broke through on the power play on its sixth try.
