BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's hockey fell at no. 4 Northeastern, 6-0. The Crusaders' netminders combined for 49 saves as
Jada Brenon stopped 39 shots and
Julia Pelletier added 10 more saves.
Northeastern jumped to a two-goal lead in the first period and held a 26-2 shot advantage. The Huskies scored their first goal nine minutes into the frame and added a power play goal a little over five minutes later.
Jada Brenon posted 24 saves in the first 20 minutes.
The second period saw two more Husky goals. Holy Cross showed more offense in the middle frame as they put 10 shots on net, but were stopped by Aerin Frankel. Northeastern tallied goals at the 2:36 mark and the 19:23 mark of the second period.
To close out the game, Northeastern picked up two more goals at 3:04 and 17:29. Pelletier started the period and turned aside 10 shots. The Crusaders added four shots to finish with 16.
