Men's hockey prepares for home-and-home with Bentley

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross will play a home-and-home with Bentley on Nov. 29 and 30. The Crusaders will host the Falcons on Nov. 29 at 7:05 p.m. On Nov. 30, Holy Cross will travel to Bentley for a 4:05 p.m. puck drop.
 
Talking Points
• Most recently, the Crusaders split with Sacred Heart to complete the season series with the Pioneers.
• On Nov. 21, Holy Cross erased a third period 3-1 deficit to win, 4-3. Anthony Vincent tallied one goal and two assists to lift the Crusaders.
• Holy Cross netted two power play goals on Nov. 21, one from Conner Jean and one from Kevin Darrar.
• Matt Radomsky made 53 saves over the weekend.
• The Crusaders dropped the game, 4-1, on Nov. 22 to Sacred Heart.
•  Nineteen Crusaders have picked up at least one point on the season, led by Neil Robinson with eight.
• Jean's six goals paces Holy Cross' scoring. Alex Peterson, Logan Ferguson, and Jake Pappalardo rank tied for second, each with three goals.
• With 17 assists as a class, the seniors account for 43% of the team's helpers. Robinson leads with eight of those assists.
• The sophomores lead with 34% of scoring, with nine goals as a class.
• In league games, the Crusaders own the lowest average penalty minutes per game at 8.9.
 
Crusaders against the League
• Alex Peterson ranks third in freshmen scoring and tied for 15th in points in Atlantic Hockey games. The rookie has posted seven points on three goals and four assists in eight league games.
• In goal scoring, Jean ranks tied for seventh with four goals.
• In defensive scoring, Dalton Skelly ranks tied for ninth with four points. 
 
Rookie Impact
• Peterson tallied a two-goal game to earn him Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week on Nov. 12. Peterson is the second Crusader rookie to earn the award.
• Radomsky was also named the league's Rookie of the Month for October.
• With Bobby Young appearing in the Crusaders' lineup on Nov. 2, the entire class has now played their fist collegiate game.
 
Scouting Bentley
• The Falcons face the Crusaders with a 3-8-0 overall record and 2-7-0 mark in league games. Bentley has dropped it's last four games.
• Jakov Novak leads the team with 13 points from seven goals and six assists.
• Three netminders have seen time for the Falcons. Most recently Aidan Pelino and Fraser Kirk split the weekend against Robert Morris. Pelino holds an .872 save percentage and a 3.32 goals against average in eight games and Kirk holds a .911 save percentage and 2.16 goals against average in three games played.
 
All-time against the Falcons
• The Crusaders hold a 35-21-10 all-time record over the Falcons. In last season's series, Bentley took a 2-1-1 lead.
•  Frank Boie and Jack Surowiec each picked up two goals against Bentley last season. Logan Milliken, Kevin Darrar, Logan Ferguson, and Anthony Vincent also added goals in the 2018-19 season.
