Men's hockey rallies to take down Sacred Heart, 4-3

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -  The Holy Cross men's hockey team defeated Sacred Heart, 4-3, Thursday evening. The Crusaders (3-5-3, 2-4-1-1) used three third period goals to come back from two scores down with 18 minutes to play. The win snaps the Pioneers' (6-6-1, 6-4) three-game winning streak.

The Crusaders struck first thanks to an Anthony Vincent tally in just the seventh minute of action. Holy Cross would hold onto the lead for most of the first period before the Pioneers got the equalizer on the power play with just 40 seconds left in the frame.

After the Crusaders outshot them 13-5 in the first, the Pioneers returned the favor by holding the 12-5 shot advantage in the second. Sacred Heart would also score again late in the period to take the 2-1 advantage into the third.

Sacred Heart would double its lead early in the third, but Holy Cross would respond by scoring three straight for the come-from-behind victory.
