BUFFALO, New York – Sophomore
Joseph Leland was the top finisher for the Holy Cross men's cross country team at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday, Nov. 15.
The Crusaders placed 31
st out of 37 teams. Harvard (59 points), Syracuse (86 points) and Iona (96 points) took the top three team spots.
Each of the Crusaders' seven runners ran a personal best on Friday. Leland placed 162
nd out of 265 finishers, running a time of 31:40.3 on the 10-kilometer course, which was rerouted due to snowy conditions. Following closely behind him was senior
Alex Campagna, who placed 174
th in 31:58.2.
Sophomore
Karter Seitz was 190
th overall, running a time of 32:19.8. Senior
Bobby Tuzzio placed 210
th in 32:48.9, while sophomore
Kane Breuer was 212
th in 32:52.6 to round out the Crusaders' top five.
Sophomore
Andrew Corbett placed 219
th in 33:06.6, and junior
Joe Doerr ran a time of 33:57.6 to place 241
st.
