WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team was defeated, 7-4, at RIT on Nov. 1.
Jake Pappalardo scored twice and
Alex Peterson had a three point night, but it was not enough to hold off the Tigers.
Holy Cross jumped to an early 1-0 lead as Pappalardo scored two minutes into the game. The Tigers evened the score midway through the period but Pappalardo found the back of the net again to give Holy Cross a 2-1 lead.
Erik Gordon made 15 saves in the first 20 minutes.
The Crusaders extended their lead to 3-1 in the second period as
Conner Jean scored his third of the season. RIT put up 14 more shots in the period and pushed the game within one in the final minute of the second period, 3-2.
The Tigers scored five goals in the third period to take the game, 7-5. RIT scored three goals in just over a minute before
Alex Peterson netted his career first and third point of the game with under five minutes to play.

Jake Pappalardo into the slot alone. Pappalardo fired off a wrist shot past Logan Drackett.
