Men's hockey skates to 2-2 tie with St. Lawrence
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team tied St. Lawrence in front of a sold-out crowd at the Hart Center on Oct. 25, 2-2.
Neil Robinson had a hand in both Crusader goals.
The Crusaders struck first with
Neil Robinson tallying his first of the season. The Saints evened the score line soon after and the teams' skated at 1-1 midway through the period. Holy Cross held an 11-5 shot advantage in the first period.
The second period was nearly all special teams. Holy Cross went one-for-four on the power play as
Logan Ferguson scored his second power play goal in as many games. Holy Cross also shut down two St. Lawrence power plays in the period.
With three power play opportunities in the third period the Saints evened the game midway through the frame. St. Lawrence also held the shot advantage in the period, 8-5.
The overtime period saw an even 3-3 shot count and after 65 minutes, the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Neil Robinson in the slot. Robinson one-time the puck past St. Lawrence's Daniel Mannella.

st – 11:43 PP: Aleksi Peltonen fired a puck from the point to score.
2-1 HC | 2
nd – 9:31 PP: Robinson worked the puck from the corner to
Dalton Skelly at the center point, who then quickly fed
Logan Ferguson on the far side of the ice. Ferguson fired on the puck and cleanly beat Mannella.
2-2 SLU | 3
rd – 10:47 PP: Peltonen fired off a slapshot from the blue line that ricocheted past Radomsky.

- Matt Radomsky made 21 saves.
- Logan Ferguson has netted both Crusader power play goals on the young season, and in back-to-back games.
- Neil Robinson picked up a two-point game with one goal and one assist.
- As a team, the Crusaders blocked 14 shots.
- Holy Cross outshot St. Lawrence, 29-23.
