Final Results
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Holy Cross men's golf team turned in one of its top performances in recent years, winning the Lehigh Invitational at the Saucon Valley Country Club in a field of 14 schools. The Crusaders finished the tournament with a 592, six strokes ahead of second place Army West Point (598).
Junior Harrison Thayer led Holy Cross by tying for fourth place as an individual with a 146. Thayer shot a career-low 69 on Friday, tying for the ninth-lowest round in school history. Freshman Christian Emmerich and junior Connor Phillips both tied for sixth place with scores of 147, while sophomore Collin Fitzpatrick tied for 22nd with a 154. In addition, freshman Peter Radler tied for 26th with a 155.
The field at the Lehigh Invitational included most of the top teams in the Patriot League. In addition to Army West Point, the Crusaders also finished ahead of Lafayette (fourth / 603), Bucknell (sixth / 616), Lehigh (10th / 622) and Navy (12th / 638).
Holy Cross has now completed the fall portion of its 2019-20 schedule.
