Scott Pooley Signs Professional Contract with the Toronto Marlies

WORCESTER, Mass. – Scott Pooley signed a professional contract with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL to continue his professional hockey playing career. The Marlies recently captured the Calder Cup for their first Calder Cup victory in franchise history.

 

Pooley capped off his career as a Crusader in the 2017-2018 season, where he finished with 98 points from 51 goals and 47 assists. As a senior, Pooley led the team in points with 34 and scored a team-best 18 goals. The forward added 16 assists in his senior campaign. Pooley was recognized as a Walter Brown Award semifinalist in the 2017-18 season. He was also the recipient of the New England Hockey Writers Paul Hines Award, presented to the Most Improved Player. 

 

After the 2017-2018 season, Pooley joined the Marlies for the remainder of their American Hockey League (AHL) season. The forward played in five games for Toronto and scored his first professional goal in his debut on March 25, 2018.

 

Pooley joins his classmate, T.J. Moore, as the second Crusader to sign a professional contract for the 2018-2019 season.
