WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross softball team fell to Colgate in both games of Saturday's doubleader, 3-1 and 2-0. The Crusaders move to 11-29 overall and 4-10 in conference play. Colgate now stands at 5-9 in Patriot League play. Junior Jackie Brewster had the lone run with a home run in the first inning against the Raiders. Senior Savannah Young went 3-5 through the two games. 

GAME ONE:

First inning: 

• Junior Jackie Brewster hit her first career home run in the first inning to give the Crusaders the lead. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Senior Katy Watson pitched seven innings with five strikeouts.
• Senior Savannah Young went 2-3 in the first game with five putouts.

GAME TWO:

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Junior Alexandra Held pitched seven innings and had four strikeouts.
• Senior Gabby Muniz went 2-3 with two putouts. 
• Senior Taylor Moss had 10 putous at first base.
• Young went 1-2 and had four putouts with one assist.

UP NEXT:

• The Crusaders will host Colgate Sunday, April 29 for a single game starting at 12:05 p.m. The five seniors will be honored before the first pitch for Senior Day.
