Joe Egan Ties For Fifth As Holy Cross Places Ninth At Rhode Island Invitational

HOW IT HAPPENED

Junior Joe Egan led the Holy Cross men's golf team, tying for fifth overall at the Rhode Island Invitational. After shooting 76 in the opening round, Egan shot a 70 in the final round to conclude the tournament with a total score of 146.
Freshman Harrison Thayer tied for 23rd overall in the tournament, shooting 75 and 76 to finish with a two-round total of 151.
Tying for 30th was senior Joe Blando, who posted a tournament total of 153 by shooting 75 and 78 in each round.
Sophomore Tom Dzwonczyk shot 81 in both rounds to end the invitational with a 162, placing 57th overall.
Placing 60th was Joe Brosseau, who shot 84 and 82 for a two-round total of 166.

UP NEXT

The Crusaders will return to action Saturday, April 28, as they compete in the first round of the Patriot League Championship in Bethlehem, Pa.
