Holy Cross Places 15th at New England Championship

BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Corey Kumamoto finished 65th overall with a time of 26:15.75 on the eight-kilometer course, as the Holy Cross men's cross country team placed 15th out of 26 schools at the New England Championship. The Crusaders finished with a total of 475 points as a team, while Massachusetts captured the team championship with 84 points. Leakey Kipkosgei of American International won the individual title with a time of 24:08.79.

Junior Bobby Tuzzio earned an 83rd-place finish with a time of 26:31.87, while freshman Andrew Corbett came in 100th in a time of 26:51.53. Freshman Joseph Leland finished in 113th place (27:06.59), and senior Matthew Silas was 114th (27:08.80).

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Oct. 19, when they take part in the Central Connecticut Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn.
