PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown's Toby Howell scored 5:33 into overtime to lift the Bears to a 2-1 victory over the Holy Cross men's soccer team at Stevenson-Pincince Field. The Crusaders fall to 1-2-1 on the season with the loss, while Brown improves to 3-0-0.
Holy Cross opened the game by taking a 1-0 lead at the 11:41 mark on an own goal. The Crusaders would hold the lead until midway through the second half, when Quinn English scored for the Bears to knot the score at 1-1. Neither team would score again in regulation, and the game went to overtime where Howell netted the game-winning goal.
