The Lead: Adam Brubacher scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Holy Cross men's hockey team fell to the Rochester Institute of Technology, 2-1, on Saturday evening at the Gene Polisseni Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tigers took a 1-0 lead with a power play goal by Erik Brown at 9:04 of the first period. Liam Kerins fired a wrist shot that was deflected by Brown from right in front of the net as the puck went up in the air and over the line.
- The Crusaders responded at 13:34, when Michael Laffin stole the puck from RIT goalie Mike Rotolo from behind the net and then scored on a wraparound goal to tie the contest at 1-1.
- Each team took eight shots, while the Crusaders went 0-2 on the power play and the Tigers went 1-1.
- The second period went scoreless as Holy Cross outshot RIT, 10-6, while the Crusaders went 0-4 on the man-advantage and the Tigers went 0-1.
- After a scoreless third period, Brubacher blasted a slap shot to the back of the net with 3:52 left in overtime for the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Holy Cross outshot RIT, 28-23.
- The Crusaders went 0-6 on the power play, while RIT went 2-3.
- Junior goalie Paul Berrafato made 21 saves, while Rotolo recorded 27 to earn the victory.
- The Crusaders won 29 face-offs, while the Tigers secured 27.
