HOW IT HAPPENED:
HC, 1-0 (1st, 6:47, EV): Andrew Dumaresque tossed a drop pass to Kevin Darrar behind the net, who circled the zone to the point. Darrar's shot from the high slot deflected off of Air Force's Billy Christopoulos and Brett Mulchay was waiting on the back door to bat the puck.
HC, 2-0 (2nd, 11:04, PP): On the power play, the Crusaders worked the puck across the zone along the blue line and Charlie Barrow opened a lane for Danny Lopez, whose shot rebounded off of Christopoulos and to Peter Crinella on the back door. Crinella roofed a backhand for a 2-0 lead.
HC, 3-0 (3rd, 19:17, EN): Mulcahy added his second goal of the night when Ryan Ferrill picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone along the boards. Ferrill passed to Mulcahy near the center ice dot and he sent the puck into the empty net.
