WORCESTER — The Holy Cross football team was trying to mount a comeback against Monmouth earlier this month and from his seat about halfway up the Fitton Field bleachers, J.C. Pujals was hoping so hard that his older brother, HC senior quarterback Peter Pujals, and his teammates would make it happen.
“No sacks,” J.C. pleaded as he paced Row S. “No sacks.”
When the pressure mounted later in the game, J.C. moved back to an empty row, where he had more room to move, while periodically sitting down, putting his head in his hands and wishing for a Holy Cross win.
