• The Lead: The Holy Cross men's golf team opened its fall season at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Invitational, finishing 13th out of 14 teams on Sept. 10 and 11.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Crusaders were led by sophomore Joe Egan, who shot a 74 in round one and registered a 77 in round two for a two-day score of 151. Egan placed in a tie for 24th overall.
• Sophomore Jake Peer placed in a tie for 39th, earning an overall score of 154 with round scores of 79 and 75.
• Junior Joe Blando Shot 79 in both rounds for a two-day score of 158, which ranked him in a tie for 57th.
• Also tying for the 57th spot was freshman Joe Brosseau, who registered round scores of 78 and 80 to finish at 158.
• Freshman Trevor Merril earned round scores of 84 and 80 to finish with a two-day total of 164, placing him in a tie for 70th.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Monday, Sept. 19, as it travels to South Kent, Conn. to play in the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
