The Lead: Senior pitcher Gennifer Durham (Abbeville, S.C.) tossed nine scoreless innings, as the Crusaders fell to Lehigh in extra innings in game one of Saturday's doubleheader.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Durham and the Crusaders' defense had a strong showing through nine innings of play, allowing no runners to score and just four hits against Lehigh.
- In the bottom of the 10th inning, The Mountain Hawks loaded the bases and brought home the game-winning run on a fielder's choice RBI.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Lehigh outhit the Crusaders, 6-1.
- The Mountain Hawks left 12 runners on base, while Holy Cross left two.
- Durham took the loss, allowing one run through 9.1 innings pitched while tossing seven strikeouts.
- Christine Campbell earned the win after pitching a shutout through 10.0 innings.

The Lead: The Crusaders fell to Lehigh by a score of 9-1 in game two of Saturday's doubleheader in Bethlehem, Pa.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After The Mountain Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, The Crusaders tied the game up with a run in the top of the fourth. Freshman Jaclyn Brewster (Bridgeport, Conn.) led off the inning with a triple to right field, and sophomore Mandy McCarthy (Pearl River, N.Y.) brought her home with an RBI single.
- Lehigh regained its lead in the bottom of the inning, adding five runs on four hits to make it 6-1.
- The Mountain Hawks picked up three runs over the next two innings to make it 9-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Lehigh outhit the Crusaders 10-4.
- The Mountain Hawks left seven runners on base, while Holy Cross left four.
- Sophomore Katy Watson (Bexley, Ohio) took the loss, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits in three innings.
- Emily Sorem earned the win, allowing one run on four hits through five innings.
