Women?s Track And Field Competes At Mason Spring Invitational And New Hampshire

The Lead: The Crusaders sent split squads to two meets on Saturday, earning a fifth-place finish at the Mason Spring Invitational, and a fourth-place finish at New Hampshire.

MASON SPRING INVITATIONAL:

Senior Catherine Gildea (Milford, Conn.) placed fourth in the 400 m dash with a time of 58.24.
In the 800 m run, sophomore Zoe Matherne (Camp Hill, Pa.) set a time of 2:14.05 to finish second overall, while Gildea placed seventh at 2:17.36.
Sophomore Hannah Jeter (Eden Prairie, Minn.) won the 5k, setting a time of 17:34.34 as classmate Annie Sullivan (Southborough, Mass.) placed sixth at 18:08.77.
In the high jump, senior Melissa LaCoste (Amherst, N.H.) placed eighth, setting a mark of 1.60 m.
Sophomore Jamison Briggs (Keene, N.H.) and junior Samantha Speroni (Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif.) both earned a mark of 3.40 m in the pole vault to tie for seventh.
Freshman Alexandra Curtin (Winchester, Mass.) placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.56 m, as sophomore Alanna Hitscherich (Sussex, N.J.) finished closely behind in fourth at 5.44 m.
Junior Alexa Eldracher (Woodbridge, Conn.) placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.03 m.

VS. NEW HAMPSHIRE/MAINE/UMASS LOWELL:

Freshman Sarah Friess (Castleton on Hudson, N.Y.) came in seventh in the 100 m dash with a time of 12.68, and fifth in the 200 m dash with a time of 26.62.
In the 400 m dash, sophomore Kelly O'Halloran (Litchfield, Conn.) placed fourth overall at 1:01.17.
Junior Kirsty Gargiulo (Summit, N.J.) placed third in the 800 m run in a time of 2:22.50.
Gargiulo finished third in the 1500 m run with a time of 4:52.09, as sophomore Erin Ahearn (Ringwood, N.J.) placed fourth (4:54.71) and freshman Kerri Keohane (Tyngsboro, Mass.) placed fifth (4:58.02).
Freshman Isabella DiMare (South Weymouth, Mass.) placed fourth in the 100 m hurdles with a time of 16.51.
In the 400 m hurdles, freshman Audrey O'Neill (Chester, N.J.) finished fifth overall with a time of 1:08.53.
Senior Nicole Lorinsky (Norwich, Conn.) placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 2.82 m.
Senior Elizabeth Provost (Adams, Mass.) placed fourth in the discus throw with a mark of 34.93 m, as freshman Victoria Attaya (Billerica, Mass.) came in fifth at 32.62 m.
In the javelin throw, O'Halloran placed third with a distance of 31.70, as junior Jennifer Kimball (South Weymouth, Mass.) came in fourth at 31.48 m.
