The Lead: The Crusaders placed second at the annual Skyhawk Invitational at Stonehill on Saturday afternoon in Easton, Mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• All listed finishes were among Division I student-athletes.
• Junior Darrius Lacy (St. Petersburg, Fla.) placed second in the 100 m dash, recording a time of 11.29.
• In the 400 m dash, sophomore Nicholas Boire (Manchester, N.H.) earned the top finish in a time of 50.04.
• Junior Henry Dodge (Rumford, R.I.) placed fourth in the 1500 m run with a time of 4:04.05.
• Freshman Brandon Thornhill (Natick, Mass.) placed fifth in the 110 m hurdles, recording a time of 15.59.
• Junior Michael Araujo (Southbridge, Mass.) placed second in the pole vault, setting a height of 4.25 m.
• In the long jump, Lacy earned the second place finish after setting a distance of 6.31 m.
• Freshman Myles Connor (Peabody, Mass.) placed first in the javelin throw, earning a distance of 53.71 m.
