WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross head football coach Tom Gilmore has announced the 2016 incoming class for the Crusaders. Twenty student-athletes will join the program in the fall of 2016.

“We are very excited about the incoming class we have signed,” said Gilmore. “On top of the 20 players we have announced, we expect to add one more signee to this list at a later date. We feel that the quality and the quantity of this class will help us achieve our goals of winning a Patriot League Championship this fall. We have addressed the needs that we have on both sides of the ball, and feel this class will give us great depth in all of our position groups this season.”

The 20 players making up this year's class hail from 14 different states, plus the District of Columbia. In addition, the signees provide a good balance, with 10 players listed on offense, nine on defense and one on special teams.

Holy Cross returns 16 of 22 starters from its 2015 squad which went 6-5 overall and 3-3 in the Patriot League. The Crusaders finished with a winning record for the eighth time in Tom Gilmore's 12 years as head coach. Holy Cross is scheduled to open spring practice on March 19.
