• The Lead: The Crusaders turned in a number of strong performances at the annual John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Freshman Isabella DiMare (South Weymouth, Mass.) placed 24th in the 60 m hurdles with a time of 9.22 while sophomore Tori Zamarra (Manalapan, N.J.) came in 36th at 9.44.
• In the 800 m run, sophomore Zoe Matherne (Camp Hill, Pa.) finished 29th in a time of 2:13.83, while senior Catherine Gildea (Milford, Conn.) came in 31st at 2:14.04.
• Freshman Alexandra Curtin (Winchester, Mass.) registered a time of 7.97 to finish 32nd in the 60 m dash, while classmate Sarah Friess (Castleton on Hudson, N.Y.) came in 41st with a time of 8.03.
• Senior Oona Wood (Williamstown, Mass.) placed 28th in the 500 m dash with a time of 1:17.46, as sophomore Meghan Dietter (Sherman, Conn.) came in 33rd at 1:17.64.
• In the 1000 m run, sophomore Kate Spitler (Marshfield, Mass.) finished 39th at 3:02.01.
• Junior Rachel Sowinski (Mountain Top, Pa.) finished 29th in the one mile run with a time of 5:01.83.
• Sophomore Alanna Hitscherich (Sussex, N.J.) registered a mark of 5.50 m to place sixth in the long jump, while freshman Alexandra Curtin (Winchester, Mass.) came in 12th at 5.35 m and junior Alexa Eldracher (Woodbridge, Conn.) placed 14th at 5.27 m.
• Sophomore Jamison Briggs (Keene, N.H.) and junior Samantha Speroni (Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif.) both earned a  mark of 3.35 m to place 15th in the pole vault.
• Junior Jennifer Kimball (South Weymouth, Mass.) and senior Melissa LaCoste (Amherst, N.H.) tied for 12th in the high jump at 1.60 m.
• Eldracher registered a mark of 11.47 m to finish 13th in the triple jump.

• The Crusaders return to action Saturday, Feb. 6 as they take part in the Scarlet & White Invitational at Boston University.
