INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Sifferlen averaged 5.25 kills per set while tying her season-high in kills with 21.
• Sophomore M.C. Magner (Northfield, Ill.) led the Crusaders with 19 digs.
• Freshman Caroline Wells (Greensboro, N.C.) led Holy Cross 37 assists in the match.
• Katy Henchy led the Hawks with 15 kills, while Paola Llerandi led the team with 15 digs and Astrid Mangual led with 33 assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Sifferlen has posted double-digit kills in 10 out of 11 matches so far this season. She is now averaging 3.79 kills per set.
• Junior Emily Popp (Clarkston, Mich.) recorded nine digs, giving her 1.093 in her career. She is now seventh in the all-time career digs list.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Sifferlen recorded eight kills in the first set, including the final two clinching points, as the Crusaders won 25-21.
• After being down 20-11, the Crusaders went on a 12-3 scoring run to tie the second set at 23. Holy Cross would win it 27-25.
• With the score tied 15-15, the Hawks put together a 10-5 scoring run to take the third set 25-20.
• After giving up five straight points to give Hartford a 24-23 lead, Holy Cross registered three kills in a row to clinch the fourth set, 26-24.

UP NEXT

• The Crusaders will return to action tonight, as they take on Central Connecticut State in their final match of the Central Connecticut Invitational at 6:30 p.m.
