INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Sifferlen and Petersen each led the Crusaders in kills with 11, while junior Katie McKernan (Sylvania, Ohio) led the team with 35 assists and sophomore M.C. Magner (Northfield, Ill.) led Holy Cross with 18 digs.
• Katie Urycki led the Bobcats with 13 kills, while Cody Michaels led her team with 11 digs and Kat Miller notched a team-leading 15 assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Holy Cross picks up its first win of the season against the Bobcats, who defeated the Crusaders earlier this season on Aug. 29 by a score of 3-2.
• McKernan is now just eight assists away from being eighth all-time in program history for career assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• McKernan registered 13 assists as the Crusaders took control of the first set, beating Quinnipiac 25-15.
• Holy Cross put together a 9-2 scoring run in the second set to help them claim the second set over the Bobcats, 25-17
• The Crusaders maintained control throughout the third set, and closed out Quinnipiac with a score of 25-21 to win the match.

• The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, September 12, as they take on UMass Lowell (2:00 p.m.) and San Jose State (4:30 p.m.) at the UMass Lowell Invitational in Lowell, Mass.
