WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross volleyball coach Melissa Batie-Smoose has announced the 2015 freshman class for the Crusaders. Allie Barry (Danville, Calif.), Maddie Koudsi (Encino, Calif.), Scottie Manson (Flagstaff, Ariz.), Lynsey Petersen (Palos Verdes, Calif.), Jenna Price (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Kristen Somerville (Beverly, Ill.) and Caroline Wells (Greensboro, N.C.) will join the team in the fall of 2015.

Allie Barry:

• Two-year member of the varsity volleyball team at Carondelet High School for coach Jerry Mix
• Served as team captain as a senior
• Named to second team All-League in 2014
• Team qualified for the CIF North Coast Section Finals in 2013
• Compiled 455 kills, 253 blocks, 69 aces and 111 digs over high school career, including 182 kills, 83 blocks and 28 aces as a senior
• Four time CIF Scholar Athlete
• Played for Red Rock Volleyball Club for coach Dave Huan and for City Beach Volleyball Club for coach Dwight Combs
• 2014 Red Rock team earned national division bid to USA Junior National Championships
• Awarded AAU Academic All-American in 2014

Maddie Koudsi:

• Two-year member of the varsity volleyball team at Oaks Christian High School for coach George Hees.
• Set the single season match record for most digs against Harvard Westlake in 2014.
• Team won League Championship twice
• Squad reached the CIF finals in 2013
• Compiled 101 digs and 12 aces during senior season
• Played club volleyball for Club Troy for coach Jason Kennedy
• Named a team captain for two seasons
• Club team earned a bronze medal at Junior Olympics in 2014
• Recorded 227 digs during 2015 club season

Scottie Manson:

• Four-year member of the varsity volleyball team at Northland Preparatory Academy for head coaches Sheri Bain & Lacey Ebersole
• Served as team captain as a junior and senior
• Named to the 2013 first team All-Section and All-Division
• Selected as an honorable mention for the All-State team senior year
• Recorded 174 kills, 161 digs and 55 aces as a senior as well as a 93% serve percentage as a junior
• Named as teams Most Improved Player in 2012
• Played for High Altitude Thunder volleyball club and captained team in 2013 for coach Ryan Mariano

Lynsey Petersen:

• Three-year member of the varsity volleyball team at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School for coach Kurt Barcinella
• Served as team captain as a junior and senior
• Honored as team MVP junior and senior year
• Named to Daily Breeze All-Area second team in 2013 and 2014
• Selected to first team All-Bay League as a junior and senior
• Named to the 2013 Desert Classic Varsity All-Tournament team junior year
• Played for Sunshine 18-South Bay Volleyball Club for coach Mike Jagd

Jenna Price:

• Three-year member of the varsity volleyball team at Cheyenne Mountain High School for coach David Barkley
• Team won state championship during sophomore season
• Squad claimed league championship three straight seasons
• Earned All-State CHSAA first team her senior year and second team as a junior
• Selected to the All-Tournament team at the Eaglecrest Invitational as a senior
• Honored on the Academic  All-State team from 2012-2015
• Recorded 430 kills, 41 blocks, 306 digs and 63 assists over high school career
• Played for the Colorado Juniors volleyball club team for coach Malia Sagiao
• Club team qualified for the USAV Nationals from 2011-2015

Kristen Sommerville:

• Four-year member of the varsity volleyball team at St. Ignatius College Prep for coach Erik Eastman
• Team won Conference and Regional championships in 2012
• Posted 82 solo blocks over the course of her career
• Played club volleyball for Michio Chicago Volleyball Academy
• Club team won 2012 15-U Open Junior National Championship

Caroline Wells:

• Four-year member of the varsity volleyball team at Northwest Guilford High School for coach Darlene Joyner
• Served as team captain as a junior and senior
• Team won four straight conference  championship from 2011- 2014 while holding a 42-1 conference record (103-22 overall)
• Two-time Team MVP
• Named All-Area Player of the Year during  her senior year
• Earned first team All-Area honors her junior year 
• Honored as 2013 Chapel Hill Tournament MVP
• Named to Piedmont Triad 4A All-Conference three times
• Played for Piedmont Triad Volleyball Club and captained team from 2013-2015 for coach Blaine Tendler
• Club team won 2015 Quest Invitational Championship
