Advice to Young Athletes: If you are going to commit the amount of time required of you as a college athlete, commit 100%. You spend too much time in the weight room, on the erg, rigging boats and traveling to not be willing to put everything you have into the training. If you are going to commit, commit to being the best. If not, you are wasting your time. What's 100% mean? Don't just show up on time; be one of the first people there. Don't just hit your coach's expected splits, always beat them. Desire to prove your worth to your teammates every day. Spend time with your teammates. Fast teams row for each other, not for themselves.
