  • With two outs, the Crusaders added an insurance run on a double down the left-field line by senior Emma Keough (Rochester, Mass.) that scored senior tri-captain Cassie Girvalo (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) all the way from second, making the score 4-2 at the top of the third.
  • Boston University slowly chipped away at Holy Cross' lead and tied the score at 4-4 in the bottom of the third frame. Lauren Hynes walked to begin the inning and advanced on a single to left field by Gabi Martinez. With two outs and two runners on base, Emily Felbaum slammed a two-run triple into right field that scored both Hynes and Martinez.
  • Holy Cross took its second lead of the game in the fourth frame as it went up 5-4 on an RBI single to left center from that bat of Moss.
  • Through the final three innings, Watson allowed the Terriers to just two hits while whiffing two batters.
  • The Crusaders had an explosive seventh inning as they recorded three more runs to give them an 8-4 lead.
  • Back-to-back singles by Moss and sophomore Emily Krisanda (Oak Hill, Va.) and infield single by senior tri-captain Abigail Lang (Londonderry, N.H.) loaded the bases for Holy Cross in the top of the seventh. Freshman Gabby Muniz (Rockport, Mass.) reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Moss to score.
