Chandler Henley Named Running Backs Coach

WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross football team has named Chandler Henley its new running backs coach, as announced by head coach Tom Gilmore. Henley joins the Crusaders after spending the last three seasons on the staff at Vanderbilt University.

Henley served as a graduate assistant coach at Vanderbilt from 2012-2014, assisting the offensive staff with film breakdown, game plan preparation and scout team activities. He helped the Commodores to overall records of 9-4 in both 2012 and 2013, marking the first time in school history the team posted back-to-back nine win seasons.

Prior to his time at Vanderbilt, Henley pursued a career in sales for several years while working part time at NBC as an analyst for the Emmy-Award nominated Football Night in America.

Henley is a 2007 graduate of Yale University with a bachelor's degree in sociology, and was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs as a wide receiver. He served as team captain in 2006 while leading Yale to the Ivy League championship, in addition to earning second team All-Ivy League honors. Henley is on track to receive his master's degree in higher education administration from Vanderbilt in May.

The Crusaders are scheduled to open spring practice on Saturday, March 21.
