COACH KOOLMAN ON THE GAME: "Providence is an experienced and talented team," said Holy Cross head coach Marco Koolman. "Before the first goal, we played very disciplined and did not allow a lot of opportunities. But after the goal, Providence was then able to create more chances. On the road we have to have more poise. Also when you get opportunities to score versus talented teams like Providence you have to capitalize on them. Our young team can take some positives out of this game as we continue to build towards where we want to be."
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Wright recorded two saves, while Broome earned the shutout with three saves.
• Providence held the advantage in shots (16-6) and shots on goal (4-3).
UP NEXT:
• The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Sept. 13, when they travel to West Long Branch, N.J., to take on Monmouth at Hesse Field on the Great Lawn at 7:00 p.m.
