• The Lead: The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in 18th place out of 19 teams with a three-round combined score of 952 (+88) at the Hartford Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, September 22-23 at the Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn. Hartford won the event with a total team score of 874 (+10).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Holy Cross was led by senior captain Craig Norton (Foxboro, Mass.) who tied for 43rd place with a three-round total score of 230 (+14). Norton shot a season-low round of 72 (E) in the final round of the tournament.  
• Crusader senior captain John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) tied for 76th place with a total score of 239 (+23), while sophomore Cameron Murray (Traverse City, Mich.) carded a 240 (+24), which tied him for 79th.
• Senior captain Connor Burfeind (Falmouth, Maine) and junior Jonah Choe (Billerica, Mass.) finished tied for 94th and 101st, respectively, with three-day totals of 244 (+28) and 249 (+33).

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross will take a week off before it participates in the Southern New Hampshire Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-5 at the Concord Country Club in Concord, N.H.
