WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore quarterback Peter Pujals (Glenview, Ill.) and junior wide receiver Kalif Raymond (Lawrenceville, Ga.) have been selected to the preseason All-Patriot League team, as chosen by the Beyond Sports Network.

Pujals was named the 2013 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, after seeing action in 10 games last season and starting eight times. He connected on 211 of 332 pass attempts for 2,261 yards and 19 touchdowns, in addition to running the ball 136 times for 469 yards and eight more scores. Pujals broke the Holy Cross freshman records for completions, pass attempts, passing yards, yards of total offense (2,730) and touchdowns responsible for (27), while tying the freshman mark for touchdown passes. He also finished the year ranked second in the Patriot League in total offense, while standing third in passing yards and pass efficiency (134.8 rating).

Raymond played in 10 games at wide receiver last year, starting five times. He ranked third on the team with 42 receptions for 400 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing 16 times for 67 yards and a score. Raymond also led the team with 26 kickoff returns for 548 yards (21.1 yards per return), and finished the season with a team-best 1,047 all-purpose yards. He finished the year ranked sixth in the Patriot League in kickoff return average and all-purpose yards, and ninth in receptions. Raymond enters the 2014 season ranked fourth all-time at Holy Cross in career kickoff returns (58) and career kickoff return yards (1,325).
