THE BASICS:

• The Lead: Bucknell tailback Matt DelMauro rushed 30 times for 139 yards and three touchdowns, to lead the Bison to a 31-24 overtime victory over the Holy Cross football team at Fitton Field. Following the contest, DelMauro received the Dr. Edward N. Anderson Award as the game's most valuable player.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Crusaders opened the scoring at the 6:42-mark of the first quarter on a four-yard touchdown run by sophomore quarterback Peter Pujals (Glenview, Ill.).
• Bucknell tied the game early in the second quarter on a one-yard scoring run by DelMauro, then claimed on a 10-7 halftime lead on a 25-yard Derek Maurer field goal.
• Holy Cross pulled back in front in the third quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by Pujals, before Trey Lauletta ran five yards for a score on the opening play of the fourth quarter to put the Bison up 17-14.
• Pujals would then score his third touchdown of the day on a six-yard run, before a seven-yard scoring run by DelMauro gave Bucknell a 24-21 lead with 5:39 left to play.
• With just four seconds remaining in regulation, junior placekicker Connor Fitzgerald (Bloomington, Ind.) kicked a 32-yard field goal to tie the game at 24-24 and force overtime.
• After DelMauro scored on a three-yard run to give the Bison a 31-24 lead, Holy Cross was unable to score on its overtime possession and Bucknell claimed the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Pujals finished the day with 44 rushing yards and three scores on 20 carries, while completing 23 of 38 passes for 201 yards.
• Junior linebacker Ryan Smith (Union, Ky.) led the Crusader defense with four tackles, two forced fumbles, a quarterback sack and a fumble recovery.

• Holy Cross concludes the 2014 season when it travels to Georgetown for a 12:00 p.m. game next Saturday, Nov. 22.
