• The Lead: The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in a tie for fourth place out of seven Division I teams at the 80th annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 26-27 at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass. The Crusaders came in with a combined team score of 612 (+36), while Fairfield won the event with a two-day total of 601 (+25).  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Holy Cross was led by senior captains Connor Burfeind (Falmouth, Maine) and John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) who both carded a two-round total of 153 (+9), which tied them for 11th place.
• Crusader sophomore Cameron Murray (Traverse City, Mich.) tied for 14th place with a total score of 154 (+10).
• Senior captain Craig Norton (Foxboro, Mass.) tied for 18th place with a two-day total of 155 (+11), while freshman Joe Blando, Jr. (Manhasset, N.Y.) carded a 164 (+20), good for 32nd place.

• The Crusaders have wrapped up their 2014 fall season. The 2015 spring schedule will be released at a later date.
