2013: Played in 26 of 28 matches on the season…appeared in 83 sets…led the team with a career-best 54 blocks on the season…also posted 15 aces, 74 kills and 24 digs…recorded a season-high nine kills against Hartford (9/10)…also posted a career-high six blocks against Central Connecticut (9/25)...won the team's Most Valuable Teammate Award and the Coaches Award.

2012: Played in 22 matches with 13 starts...appeared in 57 sets...posted a career-best 60 kills and 26 blocks...ranked fifth on the team with 1.05 kills per set...tallied a career-best 10 kills against American (10/19).

2011: Played in three matches and five sets...won the team’s Raising the Bar Award, for her improvement in the weight room...tallied her first collegiate kill on match point to give the Crusaders a win over Providence (8/31).

Before Holy Cross: Member of the O’ahu Volleyball club team for coach Tommy Lake…team finished second at the 2009 NCVA California Finals 18s division…one-year member of the varsity volleyball team as a freshman at University Laboratory H.S. for coach Walter Quitan…team placed seventh in the state and won the 2007 consolation state tournament…also a one-year member of the varsity swimming team that finished seventh in the state…one-year member of the varsity water polo team…attended Kamehameha H.S. for her sophomore, junior and senior years…member of National Honor Society…president of Surfers Give Back Club…won 2011 Academic Honors Diploma.

Personal: Daughter of Richard and Lisa Shizuru…father played football at Whittier College…has one sister (Kanoe)…cousin, Alex Akana, played volleyball at San Jose State (Class of 2013)...a History major.
