Courtney Buzzerio enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Holy Cross volleyball program in 2024.
Buzzerio comes to Worcester following a four year career at Iowa (2018-2021) and one season at Pittsburgh (2022). The 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and volleyballmag.com All-American first team honoree led the Panthers to the NCAA Final Four in 2022 while capturing an ACC Championship and helping her squad to the most wins in a single-season since 1990 (31-4). The 2022 AVCA East Coast Player of the Year completed her five year collegiate career with 1,387 kills, 667 assists, 561 digs, 143.5 total blocks and 116 service aces.
She graduated from Iowa in 2022 and Pitt with a health and human psychology degree in 2023. Buzzerio has played professionally in Italy for VBC Trasporti Pesanti Casalmaggiore (2022-23) and France for Volley-Ball Club Chamalières (2023-24). She will be competing for the Atlanta Vibe of the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) in January 2025.
