Holy Cross Athletics

Chuck Stanley is in his second season as a volunteerassistant volleyball coach at Holy Cross in 2010. He is also anassistant director of housing and residence life at Holy Cross.

Stanley's most recent coaching stint was as an assistant coachat Bryant for the 2006 season.

A Boston, Mass. native, Stanley was a two-year captain of theboys' team at Cambridge Rindge & Latin H.S., guiding the teamto the state championship in 1996. Following graduation, Stanleycontinued his playing career at Roger Williams, where he was atwo-year team captain and earned Division III All-America honors in1999 and 2000. He also earned first team All-EIVA Division IIIhonors in 1998 and was a GTE / CoSIDA Academic All-American in 1999and 2000. In addition, Stanley was recognized as the nationalDivision II and III Player of the Week by the EIVA five times.

Following his collegiate career, Stanley competed professionallyin the Italian Volleyball Summer Indoor League on the Magna GreciaVolley Club.

Returning to the Northeast with a degrees in ElementaryEducation, Social Science and a masters in Counseling fromProvidence College, Stanley has continued to coach various skillscamps in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York and is stillcompeting on a local men's AA USAV team.
