Adam Mercer is in his first year as an assistant women’s ice hockey coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2026-2027.
Prior to joining the Crusaders, Mercer spent time as the goaltending coach for the men’s ice hockey program at Roger Williams University in 2025-2026. He also served as the managing director and goaltending coach at Stop It Goaltending, where he worked with goaltenders of all levels, including Calgary Wranglers goaltender Devin Cooley and Providence Bruins standout Brandon Bussi.
Mercer has also worked with the Railers Junior Hockey Club of the National Collegiate Development Conference, coaching junior-level goaltenders, running video analysis sessions and designing individualized training plans to prepare players for collegiate hockey opportunities. Additionally, he managed Stop It Goaltending U, a mobile coaching platform delivering goalie-specific instructional content nationwide.
Mercer is a 2022 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He spent two seasons as the starting goaltender for the Penmen, going 19-16-0 with a 3.34 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. Mercer previously spent two years on the hockey team at Norwich University.
