Biography

2017-2018:

  • Played in 25 games at forward
  • Recorded 10 points on three goals and seven assists

2016-2017: 

  • Played in 18 games at forward
  • Recorded one goal
  • Recorded her first collegiate goal in a 10-1 win against NEC (11/12)

2015-2016:

  • Played in 23 games
  • Recorded seven assists
  • Earned first collegiate point in 2-1 win over Sacred Heart (10/31)
  • Tallied two points in wins over Plymouth State (11/20) and Southern Maine (1/22)

Before Holy Cross:

  • Played for Connecticut Polar Bears of CHC Hockey, where she served as team captain in 2013
  • Team won 2012 National Championship, and earned national quarterfinalist spot in 2009 and 2014
  • Four year varsity member of the Pomfret School hockey team
  • Team earned New England Finalists spot in 2015
  • 3x Hasting Cup Champions (2013-2015)
  • Earned Meme Ashmead Award in 2015
  • Also played three years of varisty field hockey and lacrosse, as well as one season of crew
  • WNEPSA All-Star in 2015 and Coaches Award in 2012 for field hockey
  • National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad in 2015
  • Set a personal-best season save percentage of 73% as a goaltender for lacrosse in 2015
  • Qualified for NEIRAs with crew in 2012 and made petite finals
  • Earned Chick Cole Cup (Awarded to that member of the Sixth Form who has achieved excellence in both Athletics and Creative Arts)
  • High honors all 12 semesters
  • Member of Key Club, Relay for Life, Ambassadors Club, Voice and Prefect

Personal:

  • Daughter of William and Maria Kewer
  • Has one sister (Emily)
  • William played one season of ice hockey for SUNY-Plattsburgh and three seasons with UMass Dartmouth (’89). He now serves as assistant coach of the Connecticut College Men’s Hockey program
  • Grandfather Angelo Santaniello (’46) and Uncle Gary Santaniello (’79) both attended Holy Cross.
  • Majoring in Psychology on the heath professions track
