Holy Cross Athletics

Edson Cuiriz enters his second year at the College of the Holy Cross in 2023-24. Cuiriz works on a day-to-day basis as the athletic trainer for the Crusader women's basketball, women's cross country and women's track & field teams, in addition to providing support for a number of other varsity sports.

Prior to Holy Cross, Cuiriz primarily worked at Owen Valley High School/Middle School in Spencer, Indiana as athletic trainer for the softball, volleyball and field hockey teams throughout graduate school. At Indiana University, Cuiriz was a trainer for the football, women's basketball men's basketball before volunteering as the softball team trainer in 2021. Edson spent the spring of 2022 as the IU baseball graduate assistant athletic trainer while he completed his master's degree.

Cuiriz also volunteered for USA Basketball as an assistant athletic trainer in June 2021, for the NCAA Division I March Madness Tournament in March 2021 and for the Los Angeles Chargers from July to August in 2018 and 2019. 

Edson graduated from Indiana in May 2020 with a bachelor's of science in athletic training and he earned his master's of science in kinesiology with a specialization in athletic training from IU in May 2022.
