Aysia Shellmire enters her fourth season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Holy Cross in 2024-25. She works directly with the Crusader women’s basketball program in addition to providing coverage for other sports.
 
Shellmire returned from a summer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa working with Hawaii women’s volleyball and men’s basketball as an intern/assistant performance coach. 
 
Before her time in the Aloha State, Shellmire was an adjunct professor in the exercise science department and the strength and conditioning coach for men’s volleyball at Springfield College for the 2020-2021 school year. 
 
Prior to Springfield College, Shellmire spent three years as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Cate School in Carpentaria, Calif. where she was responsible for girls athletics and assisted with all boys teams. Shellmire also spent two years as an adjunct professor at her alma mater Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif. where she taught multiple strength and conditioning courses. 
 
Throughout her time as a women's basketball student-athlete at Westmont College, Shellmire was selected for NAIA and WBCA First Team All-American honors in 2017, and Second Team All-American honors in 2016. 
 
Shellmire graduated from Westmont College with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Shellmire is degree anticipated and is receiving a Master’s degree in strength and conditioning from Springfield College in 2022.
