Lindsay Werner enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Holy Cross women's basketball team in 2026-27.

During year one with the Crusaders, Werner helped guide Holy Cross to its 14th Patriot League Tournament Championship and its 15th NCAA Tournament Appearance. The Crusaders earned the No. 15 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and played No. 2 Michigan in the NCAA First Round. Senior guard Kaitlyn Flanagan paced the Crusaders with 16 points and nine assists in the PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Championship game earning Patriot League Championship MVP honors. Senior forward Meg Cahalan would also be named to the All-Tournament Team.

Werner comes to The Hill following two seasons (2023-25) at Vermont under head coach Alisa Kresge. During her time in Burlington, the Catamounts accumulated a 46-25, 25-7 America East record capturing a conference tournament championship in 2024-25 while also making a run to the WNIT Fab 4 in 2023-24. Before UVM, Werner spent a season at New Hampshire (2022-23) and three seasons at Harvard (2019-22).


A standout guard during her time at Merrimack, Werner finished her career with 1,120 points, ranking 16th all-time in program history. A two-time NE10 All-Conference selection her junior and senior seasons, Werner set the Merrimack career record for three-pointers made with 190. She averaged 1.86 three-pointers per game over her career and shot 33.9 percent from the three-point range. Starting in 29 games as a senior, Werner set the single season record for three-pointers made with 70.

She graduated from Merrimack with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2019.
