Kat Fogarty enters her sixth season as a women's basketball assistant coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26. 

During year four with the Crusaders, Fogarty helped guide the Crusaders to their 13th Patriot League Tournament Championship and the 2023-24 Patriot League Regular Season Championship. Post player Janelle Allen earned a selection to the Patriot League Championship All-Tournament Team and the All-Patriot League third team.

In year three, Fogarty, who works with post players, was a key part in the emergence of Lindsay Berger en route to the Crusaders capturing the 2022-23 Patriot League Tournament championship. Berger saw her minutes increase from 6.8 a game to 24.7 earning starts in 27 contests and put up career high stat totals. Janelle Allen was named to the All-League third team while Bronagh Power-Cassidy elevated her post game. 

Fogarty, in her second season helped lead the Crusaders to a Patriot League regular season championship, the 22nd 20-win season in program annals and a program record 14 conference victories. Fogarty helped Janelle Allen increase her rebound per game total from 3.3 to 4.9 in her second season while Oluchi Ezemma shot a career-best and team leading 52.1% from the field. 

In her first season with the Crusaders in 2020-21, Fogarty helped guide Olcuhi Ezemma to career-highs in points per game (9.0), rebounds per contest (3.3) and minutes per game (23.7). The quartet of freshman saw great success in the 2020-21 season, with Bronagh Power-Cassidy taking home Patriot League Rookie of the Year honors, Cara McCormack earning a spot alongside Power-Cassidy on the Patriot League All-Rookie Team and Janelle Allen leading the team with .550 field goal percentage.

Fogarty spent the 2019-20 season with the University of Vermont women's basketball team, where she was the director of basketball operations. During her time with the Catamounts, Fogarty analyzed and broke down film for practice sessions, scouts and games, organized all travel plans and oversaw team scheduling, among numerous other duties. 

Under current Holy Cross head coach Maureen Magarity, Fogarty played two seasons at the University of New Hampshire from 2016-2018, where she was a team captain both seasons. She started all 63 games of her career with the Wildcats, earning all-conference second team honors and winning an America East regular season championship in 2017. Fogarty played her first two collegiate seasons at Marist; during her freshman year, Fogarty and Marist won their ninth consecutive MAAC Tournament championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. 

Fogarty graduated from UNH with a degree in family science and human development in 2018.
