Karl Spratt

Karl Spratt is in his firstseason as an assistant soccer coach at the College of the HolyCross in 2011, working specifically with the goalkeepers. He joinsthe Crusaders' soccer staff after spending the last two seasons asan assistant coach with head coach Ted Priestly’s formerteam, UMass-Lowell. Spratt has also worked as the goalkeepers coachfor the New England Revolution's Youth Development Program since2009. In Spratt's first season with the organization, both theunder-16s and under-18s successfully advanced to the U.S. SoccerDevelopment Academy's playoffs for the first time ever.

Spratt's previous work experienceincludes coaching stints with a variety of English club academyprograms, including Sunderland AFC and Darlington FC. He also spenttime as the head goalkeepers coach with various universities in thenortheast of England.

A graduate of the University ofSunderland, Spratt holds a bachelor's degree in sport and exercisedevelopment and his FA goalkeeping licenses. He has also earned theNSCAA’s national goalkeeping diploma.

A native of Newcastle, England,Spratt spent time as a player with Manchester United's youthacademy, while he was also part of an England National Teamdevelopmental squad at the Under-18 level. In addition to his workwith the Revolution, Spratt is a full-time instructor withChallenger Sports.
