DusanObsajsnik is in his second season as an assistant coach for theCrusaders in 2010, working primarily with the goalkeepers. He alsoserves as the goalkeeping consultant for the New EnglandRevolution’s Youth DevelopmentProgram.
A formerprofessional player in the Czechoslovakian first division in the1970s, Obsajsnik brings more than 28 years of experience coachingin Europe and the United States to the Holy Cross team. Obsajsnik,who holds his USSF “A” coaching license, has heldprofessional head coaching positions in both Czechoslovakia andAustria.
Obsajsnikbegan his playing career as a goalkeeper with the FC VSS KosiceYouth Soccer Program in 1960. He traveled through the variouslevels of the program, spending four years in the junior league,before beginning a nine-year career with the First Divisionmen’s side in 1971.
When heconcluded his playing career, Obsajsnik accepted his first coachingposition in 1979 as the head coach of FC Pozemne Staby of theSecond Division in Kosice.
Sincerelocating to the United States, Obsajsnik has worked as a coachwith other colleges and universities, including Boston College,Boston University and Southwest Missouri State. Throughout histravels, Obsajsnik has worked with former New England Revolutiongoalkeepers Ian Feuer, Kyle Singer and Jeff Causey.
