Biography
2024 (Freshman):
- Started all 13 games.
- Led all freshmen on the team with 16 points on 11 goals and five assists.
- Scored first collegiate goal in his debut against Providence (2/4).
- Scored the game-winning goal against Sacred Heart (2/17).
- Picked up 20 ground balls and caused five turnovers.
- Finished season on a six-game goal streak.
BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
- Played three seasons of varsity lacrosse at Montclair under head coach Mike Diehl.
- Served as a team captain as a junior and senior.
- Received the 2021 Homer Robinson Award as the most promising newcomer, the 2022 Bulldog Award as the toughest competitor, and the 2023 Most Valuable Player award.
- Named to the 2023 NJSIAA First Team All-State, First Team All-Fitch Pitt Conference, First Team All-Super Essex County, and the First Team All-New Jersey Group Four lists.
- Was also a 2022 NJSIAA Second Team All-State selection and 2021 All-Super Essex County Honorable Mention.
- Was a 2023 USA Lacrosse All-American, and 2022 and 2023 USA Lacrosse Academic All-American.
- Set the Montclair single-season goals record in 2023 with 61 goals.
- Finished career at Montclair with 174 points on 119 goals and 55 assists.
- Also played for the Tri-State lacrosse club of the AA league under head coach Anthony Terranova.
- Helped team to a 2022 Pinnacle Tournament Cup championship.
- 2022 and 2023 National Honor Society member.
PERSONAL:
- Son of Tony and Patricia Ward.
- Has two siblings, Sophia and Aidan.
- Brother, Aidan, runs cross country and track and field at Wesleyan University.
- Plans to major in economics and political science.
